Merging Products

Preface

When a product code or group of products need to be merged together you can use the following information to merge them together

Warning

This action cannot be undone. if you merge the wrong product, the product will need to be re-created from scratch.

Permissions

The permission Product Update is required to merge products ( See Example D )

Steps

  1. Starting with the search bar (or other means to navigate to the starting product) navigate to the product you wish to merge from (the product that will no longer exist after the merge) Using Example A  Press the Merge button (arrow pointed to the top right)
  2. Type in a product code(code, alias, or barcode) into the search bar(example 2) and press enter or select the search button (Example 4), once the product has loaded and you have verified that the product on screen is the product you wish to merge into (the product that will stay once the merge is complete) press the Merge into button (two paths diverging into a center line)
  3. Using Example C Press the Merge Button(option 5) and once the merge is complete close the window
